Ludwig APC Is Open For Business

Greetings from COVID-19 lockdown!  Despite the disruption and uncertainty happening around us, Ludwig, APC is open and executing its contingency plans to remain fully operational.  Life and business do not stop during this time, and neither do we.  You may take advantage of consultations and appointments by phone or video conference.  Our litigation clients interested in maintaining existing mediation and arbitration dates may still do so, thanks to videoconferencing platform services such as Zoom, Webex, and ClickMeeting.  If you need help setting up an account with any of these providers, please let us know.  Finally, for those of you who prefer or require the opportunity to conduct business in person, our physical offices are open, too, albeit with prudent precautions.

A return to more normalized operations will occur.  In the interim, you will face myriad challenges, both known and unknown, keeping your business afloat, your team together and healthy.  Cash flow, payroll, marketing, and sales fulfillment are but a few of these.  We can help.  When offices, shops, and the small businesses in our neighborhood reopen, you will encounter new trials and new struggles, as well as old ones.  We can help.

It’s worth repeating that Ludwig, APC is a full-service business, technology, and intellectual property law firm, with a particular focus on litigation and intellectual property.  Full service means we are part of your team.  Clients are not just case numbers and files; they are relationships.  Referral sources and colleagues are friends.  If you have any need, legal or non-legal during this time, please reach out.

Now, let me put it back on you: What can you do to help someone else?  Perhaps you will support your favorite restaurant with a takeout order.  Maybe you will pick up groceries or medication for a neighbor.  You might even donate blood or make a contribution to your favorite charity or church.  Whatever it is, do something.

Finally, we must all resist the tendency to give into fear.  Doing so will not solve any problems.  I recently reread the book Dune and am reminded of a certain passage:

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

― Frank Herbert, Dune

Yes, I am a bit of a nerd.  What of it?

Eric
